I had some major doubts about X-Men First Class. They had such a strange cast of characters and didn’t seem to be in line with either the movie continuity nor the comics. I mean out of all the mutants to choose from why would you pick Azazel from Chuck Austen’s god awful run on the X-Men. But the trailer has assuaged many of my fears. It looks like they’re taking many of the random C-list Characters in the comics to weave a back story for the characters in the previous trilogy. The nice thing about the C-Listers is they don’t have alot of baggage that the more well know characters do, and they’re more open to interpretation. How much better served would Wolverine’s Origin movie have been if they included Fantomex instead of dead pool? How many of you out there actually know who Fantomex is? Azazael in the cast is obviously going to lead to an affair with Mystique and the birth of Nightcrawler. There’s even several nice shout outs to the early comics with characters blue and yellow costumes. My only major complaint is that Xavier has hair. He should be bald since the moment his power manifested. Anyway check out the trailer and let me know what you think!
