Fringe’s Season Premier

I’m very happy to say we’re only a few days away from Fringe’s season premier. I should be very greatful, my beloved sci-fi investigation show has been on the chopping block and survived this long. This season is billed as Fringe’s last and as such it has to bring a conclusion so it many dangling mysteries. For a show built on mysteries theres a lot of them to tie up. (Spoiler warning  If you haven’t seen last season turn back now)
Last season showed us a glimpse of the future, where the Observers take over our world and the Fringe team is resurrected to fight back.

Who is the child, in Inner Child?
Inner Child showed us a mute hairless boy who lived underground that bore an uncanny resemblance to the Observers. The government comes after him saying “We’ve found another”. What exactly was this kid?
My Theory: The child is a young version of the Observer September. The child and Olivia bond it would explain why he continually goes out of the way to help the characters

What happened to Olivia? Who is the man who killed her?
In the flash forward in Letters of Transit we see that Olivia is dead. William Bell did something unforgivable to her. In Lysergic Acid Diethylamide Olivia dreams about a man  with an X on his shirt and casually remarks afterward that he kills her. Are the two related?
My Theory: The dream of the person was a cortexiphan inspired premonition. I bet William Bell will try to set up Olivia and the crew as part of a giant gambit, and inadvertently have this man kill her.

Why did William Bell go from being generally benevolent and more or less neutral, to evil and wanting to destroy two universes?
When we first meet William Bell he has done some unethical stuff but he sacrifices his life to save Peter, Olivia, and Walter. Next time we see him he’s possessing Olivia, still its unethical but he does want to help the characters. After the reboot of the time lines in season 3 William Bell turns out to be the mastermind behind Mr. Jones’s plan to destroy to universes to create a new one. Though they stopped him he’s still out there…
My Theory: In the original timeline Bell learned the consequences of playing god, after seeing Walternate become aggressive by trying to destroy “our” world. Because Bell lacked that character development when Jones found him he was all for destroying everything

Are there different versions of the Observers (Ex: anthropologists vs. conquerors)?
Letters of Transit show us that The Observers want to rule our world. There were show to be rather indulgent in physical pleasures by getting drunk and womanizing.  Before that they had only been minimally interfering in our world, and were rather emotionless.
My Theory: The Observers we see in the beginning are same people but come from chronologically after the Observers conquer the world. They’re going back in time to study humanity and fix what they’ve screwed up.

How will it end?
My Theory: I think that the altering of timelines and parallel universes will have screwed up reality so much that the Fringe Team will have to start all over again. How will they do this. They’ll go back in time and cure both Peters of the disease that instigated breaking through the parallel worlds. It will effectively undo the damage to reality that has been done through the course of the series. The story will close with the Observers noting that in every timeline this is the only way, and will feel sorry that Peter and Olivia never go to know each other.  To give a warm fuzzy feeling Peter and Olivia will recognize each other despite never having known each other in this new and final time line. They’ll walk off together showing that love is a power stronger than even Fringe science.

Does anybody out there have any thoughts, or questions for Fringe’s last season? Please share if you do!
