Ah arguing about science fiction, is there any higher calling to the contemporary nerd? Well unfortunately for poor little Nedwick, Albert isn’t a contemporary anything, being from the future.
Seriously what was with sci-fi writers and making global catastrophe happen in 1997? Skynet becomes sentient, Khan leaves the world devastated after the Eugenics wars, The Jupiter Two leaves an over crowded Earth for a new home, and the 12 Monkeys Plauge is released on the world. Yet after all that trouble and devastation we’re ready to build sleeper ships with synthetic gravity, and artificial intelligences to go to Jupiter on some type of “Space Odyssey”. You’d think after Skynet they’d realize Hal 9000 was a bad idea.
Wow I really need to get out more often.
