I’ve been out of the country for a week, and after approximately 20 hours of planes, busses, and cars I returned home. Still a little strung out from the road I decided to check a few websites to see what was going on in the world. What did I find waiting for me in all its patriotic glory to welcome me back to the good old US of A?

This movie looks great and I can’t wait to see it. Cap has always been one of my favorite superheroes, and I always worried his film would be bogged down with political correctness. Just like Superman Returns changed “the American way” to “all that stuff” I was afraid that this film would almost show Captain America ashamed to be an American. This trailer almost completely asuages my fears, and it looks oh so epic!
Some of the high points:
-Cap’s personality seems to be more in line with the original continuity rather than the Ultimate version. He’s more of idealistic soldier than and jingoistic ass kicker
-Bucky doesn’t act like a teen sidekick but as a soldier
-Steve Rogers uses a garbage can cover as a shield to defend himself from a bully in a nice mythology gag
-Howard Stark has a cameo in project rebirth and the way he lowers his glasses is a subtle manerism which resemble RDJ’s as Tony Stark
-The costumes look phenominal and believable
-The CGI is smooth and well done
-Red Skull looks terrifyingly awesome
-The Howling Comandoes are a great call back to the old school comics
